Opinion: "Indian Grand Design in Nepal"
|
By Khagendra Thapa
India hates the fact that we were friends with British when it was under the British boots. Post colonial India thinks and behaves like the dead British Empire. India has to remember that the Gorkha soldiers fought for it when it fought wars against Pakistan and China. The Gorkha soldiers were deliberately placed at the forefront and suffered heavy casualty. The reward the Gorkhas have received from India is expulsion of Bhutanese of Nepalese descent from Bhutan, exploitation of our rivers without proper compensation for Nepal, imposition of unfair treaties on Nepal whenever it has weak government, mistreatment of Nepalese in India, exporting of poor quality goods to Nepal, helping Maoists and other anti Nepal activities, and lot more.
Well, with friend and neighbor like India we do not need any enemies.
Only King Mahendra was able to deal with India effectively. India is having its hay day in Nepal especially after the India imposed fake democracy since 1990. The Nepali Congress party, an Indian surrogate, has given everything India and its citizens ever wanted from Nepal. Well done, Congress party and its leader Girija. You have succeeded in bankrupting Nepal economically, morally, physically, politically, culturally, and socially. I hope the Congress party and its leaders got a good reward from India. Thanks for exporting our sisters to India as prostitutes and our brothers as cheap laborers.
The grand Indian design of making us kill each other has worked wonders. Thanks to India both Maoists and Nepalese Government buy arms in India. What a deal! You create room for Indian citizens in Nepal without using holocaust and make us pay for it. Hurray, it is even better plan than Hitler had. The Nazis had to kill the Jews. You see the Indians are smarter than Nazis. They make us kill each other to make room for their rising population and make us pay for it. My God, when I think of it, I can only admire the British colonialist. It is amazing how smart they made the Indians.
Nepal has unpatriotic, stupid and highly incompetent leaders. HM King Gyanendra should take strong and decisive actions against foreign agents such as Girija and his followers. Only then we may have a little hope of surviving as a people and as a nation. The best thing to do under the circumstances would be for Maoists to stop being tools for India and realize that what they are doing in the name of peoples war is wrong. If they are smart and patriotic they should turn their guns and bombs against India and its surrogates and not against innocent poor, hungry, defenseless, helpless, and destitute Nepalese people. We have suffered enough. Stop being idiots. Your ego has destroyed our people and their hopes and aspirations. Your actions have made our enemies laugh and our friends cry. India has capitalized a lot since the advent of India imposed fake democracy. It is busy fishing in the troubled waters of Nepal.
Only hope for us is to unite against our national enemy and fight like Bhakti Thapa.

A thoughtful, factful and insigtful op-eds are worth every drop of the ink. If we could only pull ourselves away from the propoganda and pueso civic society masks and genuinely seek the truth, the blinds, the fools and the deceitfuls will be enlightened! Hello Eveyone: I just want you all to know that I am in no way related to any political parties or the palace. What I wrote is from my observation and what I have seen happen to other countries such as Afghnistan, Somalia, and Cambodia. In addition, I wrote in clear terms what is being written in several articles published from Nepal just about every week. I would not say everything King Mahendra did was right. However, prior to 1960 Indian currency was freely used in Nepal. Hindi was taught compulsary even in elementary schools. People outside Kathmandu valley used to say they were going to Nepal if they were planning to visit Kathmandu. Disputes between political parties used to be settled in New Delhi. Koshi treaty as well as all the treaties Nepal has signed with India have been very unfair to Nepal. Even the minimum level of benefit India agrees to fulfill are not carried out. Nepalese people had never faced the kind of crisis they are facing today. The main culprits are definitely the people who looted the country all in the name of democracy. They say democracy takes time to develop. However, it did not take time for the leaders of the political parties to get rich. How can one justify the enormous amount of money the political party leaders have accumulated? Regarding my comments about our war against the British Empire, I still believe that they did a wondeful job fighting a Great Empire equipped with guns and cannons. The Nepalese fighters did not have any weapons other than Khukuris and stones. Had they not fought the war, there would be no Nepal. I guess some of you out there want to turn Nepal into another Sikkim. I do not agree that Nepal should be merged with India. I was not aware of King Gyanendra's connection with Indian business. I do not support Panchas or Mandales. The activities of Mandales were disgraceful to say the least. They were responsible in turning public opinion against the Panchayat rule. Thanks. K. Thapa

i cant help laughing at this poor guy. last time it was some shah and this time thapa. where are the ranas? (come on editor, why are u putting these craps on the net?) this guy says mahendra was able to deal with india. yes he was. you poor guy don't know that he got money for the land submerged in koshi barrage in his personal account. you don't know that he sold nepal's sovereignty to india in 1965. (i doubt if you ever have heard about that treaty). you don't know that he gave the kalapani area to india. and what not. and for you he was patriot. (do you know the fact that when tribhuvan died mahendra had to take loan from the treasury of country to do his father's kaj kriya. now you cant imagine how much money they have amassed) for you gyane is also patriot who is agent of tata company; who is a business partner with the indians in soaltee; who smuggles the drugs, historical monuments, and wildlives in the international market; who is maffia. and who is now killing thousands of people. and for this thapa he is patriot. (seems when you go to nepal you want to either work in G's palace or in his empire or mahendra trust or acap--well done my boy, congrats for chakari) you don't know the delhi compromise that your tribhuvan and mohan shamsher did with neharu in 1950 only to stop the saat sal ko kranti. you know what tribhuvan offered to neharu? you don't know poor fellow. you want to win over india by fighting like bhakti thapa? do you know the fact that nepal lost its teritory only because bhakti thapa and the likes could not fight with british. now you urge us to fight like bhakti thapa? to loose our land to india? it easy to give gali to indians and get a 'wah wah' from fellow moorkhas. look at the reality. india is giant country and whether you like it or not its there at your nose. so you have to learn tacticks to defeat. not the hate mails will work, poor boy. abhinav_nepali@hotmail.com

Did you finish your venom! Unfortunatley, as of now it seems that your king is being puppet of India. What do you do! Did you forget the history that your late King Mahendra had a secreat defense treaty with India in 1965 to save his Royal chair. Please justify why do we need King? No more "Bhakti" please!

Geographically I am far from my country yet my "anxieties" of Nepal's struggle is sentimentally close. I sit here and wonder what a critical analysis Mr Khagendra.Would have appericate your thought had not it been so "radical" for I can't ignore the fact that the hostility with India is a threat to Nepal's growth. I am neither right not the leftist in opinion but my concern is "How can we say No to India without being negative."I feel its easy to blame yet hard to accept.

After royal massacre, Girija said all what was happening was a part of "Grand Design". He even called all people to Khullamanch saying that he is going to reveal it. But he never actually did. Girija turned out to be not only irreponsible but also coward. I think Girija wanted to reveal the same grand design that you just revealed in this article. U deserve Aashirbad from Nepali Ama for daring to do what our leaders never can!
